Zoe Weil Reflection
Emma Muller
Today, Friday, May 29, 2015 we met Zoe Weil the founder of humane Education a program to inform and help solve problems of the world she also wrote the book Claude and Medea in this book two kids who try and save these poor dogs from a evil scientist. We skyped her and asked her our H.O.T questions (higher order thinking questions.)
One of the most meaningful thing that Zoe Weil said and touched me was that “life is short so do Mogo most good least harm.” For example, this relates to all people and it also connects to me because this shows that in the little time for our existence we should do the best we can. Life is not like a sport. You can not keep on practicing and practicing till you get it right you need to do your best in this moment so you won't mess up the rest. This also makes me think of the present. For example, yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.
Another meaningful thing that Zoe Weil said is that instead of debate teams they should have soulution teams. For example, if this actually happened a lot of problems would be solved. This makes me think of an idea that would be great for our world. For example, if we took some of the brightest minds in our present world then we could come up with greater solutions then we had ever imagined. |
The last thing that Zoe said that touched me was that she even loved animals when she was a kid. That shows that dreams can start even at a young age like mine. For example, this showed me that even at at the beginning of existence you can follow your dreams whatever they are.
In conclusion, Zoe Weil was a great role model and taught me these important three things life is short so do Mogo, we should find more solutions, and it is never too early to follow dreams. |
